Guelph, Ont. (August 18, 2008) - The Hon. Jason Kenney, Federal Secretary of State for Multiculturalism and Canadian Identity, was in Guelph on Saturday to support Federal Conservative Candidate Gloria Kovach.
Kovach and Kenney met with leaders of the Polish community at the Polish Hall. Later in the day, they were joined by Saskatchewan MP Rob Clarke and Senator Consiglio Di Nino to speak with leaders of the Armenian community.
“The City of Guelph is rich with different cultures, and they all deserve to have a voice in Ottawa,” said Kovach. “I am happy that Minister Kenney could visit Saturday and spend time talking to residents about concerns important to them.“
