Guelph, Ont. (June 5, 2008) – The Honourable Jason Kenney, Secretary of State for Multiculturalism and Cultural Identity, will attend Guelph’s Multicultural Festival along with Federal Conservative Candidate Gloria Kovach.
Kenney will be in attendance for the opening ceremonies of the festival on Friday, June 13th.
"As the daughter of a Polish father and Italian mother, the Multicultural Festival has always been a special event for me," says Kovach. “I’m honoured that Secretary of State Kenney is taking the time to join me for such an important annual event in the City of Guelph,” says Kovach. “It shows that Guelph’s voice is truly being heard in Ottawa.”
The trip to Guelph by Secretary of State Kenney comes on the heels of a visit by Federal Health Minister Tony Clement on May 30th in support of a fundraiser for Kovach’s campaign.
