Guelph, Ont. (May 21, 2008) – Federal Minister of Health Tony Clement will be in Guelph on Friday, May 30th to attend a fundraiser in support of Gloria Kovach, Guelph’s Federal Conservative Candidate.
“I’m truly honoured that Minister Clement would take the time to visit the City of Guelph,” said Kovach.
Minister Clement’s trip, which comes just a few months after Prime Minister Stephen Harper attended a rally in Guelph, shows that Ottawa “cares about our city, and I’m proud of that,” says Kovach.
Kovach, who has been a nurse since 1981, says she is looking forward to discussing health care issues with Minister Clement when he visits Guelph.
“As a nurse, I’m on the frontlines of health care every day. I want to make sure that the issues that are important to Guelph residents are being heard in Ottawa.”
The fundraiser will be hosted by David Ing, the owner of Norfolk Manor. It will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $100.00 per person, and can be obtained by calling (519) 830-8683, by emailing operations@gloriakovach.com, or by purchasing them online here. There are a limited number of tickets available.
