Guelph, Ont. (July 2, 2008) – The Guelph Electoral District Association (EDA) of the Conservative Party of Canada today opens the office that will be used by the Gloria Kovach campaign once a writ of election is dropped. With the raising of the campaign sign at 61 Victoria Road South in Guelph, the office will be officially declared open.
“I’m always ready to talk to Guelph citizens about their concerns, and today I am happy to officially welcome them to the EDA's office on Victoria Road,” said Kovach. “I invite anyone who is interested to stop by.”
The office will be used for EDA business and to prepare for the upcoming federal election campaign. The office will be open to the public Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, or by appointment until a writ of election is dropped. Once the writ is dropped, the office will be leased to the Gloria Kovach campaign, and will be open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM 7 days a week.
A by-election will be held in the City of Guelph in the next few months to replace the Liberal MP who resigned from the post in April.
